Some are hi-res characters and clothing for G8 and G3 models, some are simple objects such as vehicles. Here's another picture from 6 years ago.
This was an experiment with using colour and no outline. I slapped the colours onto the canvas and then filled in the detail afterwards. I think the result is pretty nice.
It took 55 minutes and 30 seconds to complete.
